Waterpark Fun

We spent the day off Martin Luther Day at Wisconsin Dells, Kalahari waterpark.
It was just a quick get away to soak in the warm indoors for 24 hours while the temperatures outside were -16 and wind temperatures even colder. A good excuse to be indoors and having fun.
My only exercise was to climb up many stairs to go down the water slides. I couldn't wear my Fitbit since it's not water proof, but I'm sure it was a lot of flights up.
I didn't take many photos, since water and cell phones don't mix. Plus, I had my cell locked away for most of the time.

We did some snacking while at the park. It was a good thing we packed our own water and some healthy and not so healthy snacks. You aren't suppose to bring in your own food but the cost and choices at the park weren't so great. Sure they had plenty to choose from but I'd rather bring my own.
We drank lots of bottled water, and popcorn. Plus, had a few chocolates and fruit.
They had a bakery/coffee shop at the hotel. I will have to make some cupcakes and candies like the snow men.

The hotel had a huge entertainment center, laser tag, go carts, bumper boats, games, bowling, mini golf, and the list goes on and on. It was probably larger then their water park and that's big for indoors!
Evan was loving all the lights. He would run from one machine to the next. We didn't buy any ride or game tokens because it was extra from the park and we spent enough just doing the water stuff. He was okay just sitting on the fun stuff and not having it move.

A game called "Stinky feet".

We had dinner at a pub connected to the hotel. Celina and I split a burger and fries. Glad we did because it was plenty of food.
Sunday was pretty packed at the waterpark, but the next day on Monday it was a lot less crowded. We all had plenty of rides on the slides. My favorite was the multi single person slides in the back of that big rock. They put you in a tube, shut the door and the floor drops out and you plunge down and curve around fast. Super scary at first but fun. We did that one a few times. It was also a good climb up many flights of stairs.
We grabbed dinner at a new fast food place called Macs. We each got a different mac and cheese combo, Taco, peppers, onion, spinach and mushroom, chicken blue cheese with buffalo, and regular. We all shared to try all. It was good, but loaded with calories. We already had thought they need a skinny mac option, without cheese or just half the amount?

It was a three hour drive. I read, napped and we all looked at our phones to pass the time. On the way home a neighbor friend texted me that our garage door was open. I think we left without shutting it. A full 24+ hours with the door open and our house unlocked. Lucky for us, it was probably too cold for any robbers. We did have a lot of cans and glass bottles explode. We'll have that to clean up before we thaw out. Glad that was all we came home to and not a cleaned out house.
It's back to work and school today. Steve and I have a funeral of a good friend's father and of course I will have to fit in working and working out at some point today.
Logan had a soccer game on Saturday and of course more soccer practice this week with a game every Saturday. At least its indoors and fast paced. Fun to watch!
We ate our last meal from that home chef. Pork tenderloin, brussel sprouts and a slide salad of spinach.  We had one leftover tenderloin that we didn't eat so when we got home Monday night at 6pm we all had leftovers for dinner. At $100 for three meals for 4 people = 12 dinners. That's not a bad price for a good restaurant quality type meal. The down side is that if we don't cancel, they will just keep sending us more meals. I don't like the auto system. I'd rather be the one to request meals sent then to just have them assume we want more. You have to put in a credit card to get it shipped even though the order was a Groupon and pre-paid. We did go over $10 and so now we have a credit of $10, which I'm not sure why?
Happy Tuesday.. this is the last of the cold days. Warming up to the double digits (10+F) today and we should be back into the 20's for Wednesday. I can finally go cross country skiing again! One more day of indoors at the gym. I can do this!!!
