Weekend, where did it go?

We celebrated Steve's birthday all weekend long, starting Friday night. We had a dinner on the grill, beef tenderloin and twice baked potatoes. On to Saturday night, Steve and I went to St. Paul to have a drink and get some dinner. After stopping at a few restaurants we decided on Black Sheep, coal fired pizza. We split the pizza with a salad. My favorite part of the meal was by far the salad with the homemade dressing.

There were a lot of kids all dressed up for prom out and about and even a big group having pizza.
Sunday we celebrated Mother's day. We stopped and picked some lilac flowers by the side of the road. It was on a deserted old military road so we did not pick anyone's flowers from their yard.
It was so nice outside that we ate our brunch on the deck. We just made the usual, eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, fresh fruit and picked up a dozen Mojo Monkey donuts.
Kendra posted this photo on FB, of us on the beach in Ft Lauderdale Florida back in 1989. Oh, we were both so young.
We celebrated Steve's 51st birthday with dinner on the deck. Steve cooked ribs and chicken on the BBQ. He requested a vanilla bean cheesecake with a gingersnap cookie crust, topped with brownie/chocolate chips and a thin layer of raspberries, sprinkled with powder sugar. This by far was one of the better cheesecakes I've made. Not to mention, it turned out perfect and was really delicious!
