Make it consistent, Not more challenging every day

I for one am all in favor of going for consistency over making working out more challenging every day. Do you hear a lot of advice about having to do more each day? Lift heavier weights, run farther, faster, do all kind of crazy cross fit impossible exercises instead of just doing the same thing  and being consistent. While mixing it up and making working out more challenging does make us stronger, its not always the best advice to take when just starting out on a new healthy path or just keep going each day.

I am all for doing the same exercises every day. You will know when your ready to make it more challenging. Sure you might not be pushing yourself to the max each, but your being consistent. Making it do-able. Do-able is the key to keep going. If you make it too hard, too challenging every day it will be a royal pain to do. You don't want to hate it.. Stop listening to all the advice and follow what feels best for you and your health plan.

I make my exercises and running more challenging on the days where I'm feeling good and want to do more. Most days it's enough to just do what's on my todo list for working out. It's consistency that keeps me going.. not making it more challenging.

We all need to love our workout.. well, not love it every day, but love the feeling of accomplishment we get from staying fit. Take care of your heart, health, mind and keep going with consistency.

I got to enjoy my day with Evan on Monday. We just hung out and played. He has eight teeth now. 4 on the top and 4 on the bottom.
Yesterday.. and a year ago.. How this little boy has
grown..
