Friday!

Steve went off to work yesterday and asked if I was even working. I'm like hello, I have one customer! It's not enough, I know. What am I going to do? Work has been put on hold with most of my clients. I'm not sure when that will change and I'm going to be losing one more the end of August due to a forced retirement from the airlines. Oh a positive note, we both have off this Friday and have a long 3 day weekend. This means we can spend it doing something fun.
We have plans to go for a run at the park this morning. I should probably take the dog since she really loves going with. I felt guilty yesterday for leaving her home. We might even go biking or kayaking later on today. We will find something to do. It's going to warm up to 88+F this afternoon, but right now its only 66 and a bit chilly.

The kids tried out Frisbee golf in the evening. It was crowded so they went to another location. Guess  there are a lot of people smoking while playing and you have to wait your turn. Plus, you spend time looking for your frisbee because it goes off course into wooded areas. I'm going to still try this game for myself and see how I like it. We will just go during the day at a non-busy time and hope those smoker people aren't there! That sure is a bummer hearing that!
My new fire pit hopefully arrives today. Not that I'll be using it on a 88+F day, but I'm excited to see how it look on our patio. I need something fun to look forward to. I want a large table fire pit for out front. I might just order on for our front yard too. I'm just not sure if it should be a smaller side table type fire pit or an actual sit around table? I like having options on where to sit and enjoy a fire at home since we aren't going out anywhere any time soon.
I had plans to get a lot done Thursday after working. I ended up just setting up my deck cot, laying down and reading the news on my phone. Oh and there was a power hour nap in there too. I figure that counts as doing something if I'm at least outdoors all day. I always feel guilty about waisting away summer days sitting indoors. That's what I like about camping, it forces you to be outdoors 24-7 and it makes the days feel longer.

It's a Thursday that feels like a Friday!

Wow, I work again today for an hour! My rental was canceled as I got the dates wrong, so that's a lot less work and money! I go by emails for updates and missed a text message for the date change. We are on vacation and so now that's out for more work!

In Between jobs, I had 15 minutes to kill. My next client was across the road from Kendra's new house that they are building. I decided to go check out the progress. They dug the basement and were laying down the footings. She still hopes to move in the end of November or early December!
My work goggles arrived in the mail yesterday. I purchased 4 pair, one for each of us. I'm not sure how bad this virus is going to be this winter, but I wanted to be prepared. The virus can enter through your eyes. Not sure I'm ready to shop with  eye protection just yet, but am seriously considering it! I'll at least try them out while working.
My pork taco's. 2nd day of eating up my carnitas and still delicious!

Feels like it's time to lose some weight. After losing a lot 20 pound during the first part of the pandemic, I'm now gaining! Is it stress eating? Maybe, but I need to start eating less high fat foods and more low calorie, veggies etc. You know the plan, tomorrow, tomorrow. I am getting in a bike ride and will go run this morning. Just need a little motivation right about now!

We need to try this! And do you do this?

We see people playing frisbee golf when we drive on a particular road. It looks fun to try. I picked up two sets of frisbee's (his and hers). You get three frisbee's in different sizes for long distance, mid range and the up close putt. It's exactly like regular golf's rules, only you throw a frisbee. It was cheap to get started at $25 per beginner set. It's free to play at some locations. I just down loaded the score card with the layout of the course. Now to go play and see if we like frisbee golf? I'm hoping we can try this out soon. After running a few too many miles, Steve's legs were dead tired. Too much to do extra walking yesterday. Maybe today or this weekend?

His and her frisbee golf sets!

I scored this huge almost 7 pound pork tenderloin for $6.80! We had pork taco carnitas last night for dinner. I have lots of leftovers. I should have taken a photos of my taco. The best yet! I added in 2 dry seasoning packages carnitas for the crock pot, and an entire can of frozen oj concentrate with a little water. I had to cut this in half and use two crock pots. We have lots of leftover but that's okay because it made the best tacos!
You can follow me on Snapchat, at Lorraine3168 where I post more of my daily life and photos of food!
We've been using the table top fire pit a lot the last few days since the weather is cooler.

I'm getting this knew fire pit bowl Thursday and I can not wait! It's only 10". I wanted it small so it won't take up our whole smaller round table. That's the only issue I have with our existing rectangle table top fire pit. It's kind of big and takes up a lot of space. I already purchased new small propane tanks in anticipation of using this asap on Thursday when it arrives in the mail.

You would think our dog was a small child. I'm always checking to see where she is. If Zoey is too quiet (usually sleeping 99% of the time) I have to find out where she is at. Do you do this? I am always thinking she is running free out front some where and will be gone forever if I don't check on where she is at in the house.

I bought her a new black leather dog collar with tiny silver metal bones on it. Plus, got her another new flower. Her old collar was brown and was getting pretty roughed up looking. I showed her the collar before I put it on her and I could tell she approved.
