Back from the North Shore

It's tough coming home from a fun vacation week. My toe is the only thing needing attention at home. I managed to itch it so much, that I took a layer of skin off, and it also has some rash or bites on the 2nd toe. Not sure what's going on with this one toe!

Lake Superior, North Shore, MN. We go every year and this year we got to be up there 7 days! We usually only manage 5 max. 

Lutsen resort. Our camping spot was up the road 30 minutes on the Caribou Trail, on Lake Clara. 

I found a craw fish in the lake. Found out they are invasive species and need to be removed. I had no idea!

Did some biking on more logging trails. 

Our first night of camping, all set up at Lake Clara. Until we got back late Monday night at 8:30pm, with one hour of day light left. We found a note from the DNR, campground was closed due to Covid, leave asap or get a citation!! We had to quickly pack up all our crap and move in one hour, re-set up! We moved to our even more remote camping spot and set up the tents mostly in the dark. It was going to rain Tuesday so we had to get it all up. That was not fun!!! More to be continued.. because the drama didn't stop there!!

That's a Friday wrap!

My Friday was full of car errands. Got my tires rotated and purchased two new tires. Ugh! So much for going in for a quick Zero cost rotate. I suppose it's better to do it now then in the winter! I'm ready for snow!

 I took Zoey on my 1.5 mile morning run in the heat! It was already hot and humid at 9am. She loves it and I get to run a little faster with her. 

I'm not sure what's going on with Google photos. I'm having lots of issues getting my photos that I take to down load to the laptop. It's always a few days behind. So here's some lake photos from Wednesday when I went to the lake by myself. 

I really need to do this more often when I don't have work during the week. It's just a lot more fun hanging out with others. 

I've got to do this today!

First things first, I have to get my tires rotated. I'll just drop off the car. I'm hoping one of the kids picks me up, so I don't have to wait the hour. If I do wait, I'll be sitting outdoors in the heat.

It's going to be a hot day, close to 90*F. I should go to the beach! I have far too much to get ready for our little trip. I have to go though all the camping stuff and make sure it's all there. I'd hate to forget anything we need. Oh, and there is a chance of rain pretty much every single day. I'm not sure what camping is going to look like this year. We like to go indoors to eat, play games etc.. so that's out this year. You either love camping or hate it. I love the glamping or any type of camping. I'd rather do that than stay in hotel. Unless it's super hot and humid or freezing cold.
