Bike Rage...

A little bit foggy to start, beautiful farm fields, and some bike rage all thrown in on our morning 14 bike ride.
I'll explain the Bike Rage! The one and only car that passed us the entire time on this dirt road, decided to drive super close to us along side the road. Please.. you have the entire road to move over so your not going to hit or side swipe us bikers. Leave 3 feet between us and your car. I was instantly mad when this guy goes whizzing by us super close. I yelled out some choice words but probably should not have considering you just never know how some people will respond if they hear you. I wanted to show this guy my finger too but I didn't, I just had my rant and then we biked on with some fierce adrenaline.
Thankfully, that bike rage was at the very end of our bike ride. It was a picture perfect day to be out riding.
I read an entire book while at the lake this past weekend. I hated this book for the first chapter. Before you know it.. I started liking it and could not put it down. Now I have book depression. That's when I finish a book and then there is nothing.. nothing to read and of course this book is a story that continues and now I need to either buy the next book or move on to something else. I won't give away the book, but it's worth reading.
Celina has one more soccer game and then she is done for the summer and done forever with soccer. I'm kind of sad because she really does like soccer but doesn't want to continue with a traveling team. She liked just the low stress in-house soccer for two months in the summer.
Its a rare occasion that I wear my hair down and I even straightened it. Who knew I'd have to some day straighten my hair. After having stick straight hair most of my life.. it's now deciding to come in all wavy. I forget how long my hair is getting...

I didn't eat any dinner before leaving for soccer so when we got home at 8pm.. I was starving. Calories for the day were 1870. I'm still going to have to lower that number to around 1500. Day 3 here we go...

Here we go... Day 2 diet and healthy eating

I'm 100% into making a change and seeing the results. I could almost see them in just one day of my diet. I stuck to healthy foods for an entire day.. It was not easy at night. I did have a little more french bread then I should have but it wasn't like I went off the deep end.
I don't have a hard time making good food decisions in the mornings. This is what I ate today and just about every day.. 2 slices of whole grain bread with my chunky Skippy peanut butter. We had blueberries! I always try and eat fruit too in the mornings but we usually only have bananas.
I had zero Capri's to workout in this morning. I found my running skirt but I can't run in it due to the shorts under that like to scrunch up on my thigh. It leaves skin touching skin and there is nothing worse feeling. So it was off to bike up to the gym.. 7 miles and 20 minutes of weights. Once again, I spent way too much time doing yoga stretches and my warm up exercises of planks, lunges, squats etc..
Remember me saying I had no idea of what I'd eat for dinner? Well, I decided to copy this salad we had Bricks Restaurant a few weeks ago. It's sooo easy to make.

I purchased the honey roasted pecans (found them in the produce area). Chopped up a garden tomato, used Romaine lettuce and made the honey garlic dressing.

Here's the dressing recipe:
1 cup lite olive oil

1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
1 garlic glove chopped fine
3 Tbsp honey
1 Tbsp sugar

I also topped with Gorgonzola cheese crumbs. Trust me.. it makes the salads flavors all come out and its the best salad I've ever eaten!
Because I was going to have a slice of Garlic French bread, I wanted to skip the spaghetti so I chopped up some yellow squash and sweet onions and just steamed them with some tomato sauce. Easy dinner and quick too.

I kind of went crazy with my Greek Yogurt and raspberries yesterday. I had three of these 80 calorie Yogurts and 3 cups or more of raspberries. I just wanted to get through day 1 and today will limit it to one at night with tons and tons of fruit.

I'm really looking forward to sticking with this veggie/fruit diet and seeing some weight finally come off again. It's going to make me feel super great once again!

You have to look for Rainbows

Yesterday night while driving into our neighborhood after a weekend at the lake, we saw a double rainbow. Unfortunately, you can't see the double very well in my photo.

I took two days off from working-out to enjoy the lake. I was still really sore in my abs from the longer planks and extra weights added to my ab workout at the gym. Monday morning I was right back at it. Just decided to bike the 7 miles to the gym/home instead of run.  It was hot and humid which is perfect biking weather in the early morning.
Its my Evan day.. I bought him this new shirt and some jean shorts so I just had to try it on him.

My plan is to take a lot of walks with Evan. I'm going to try that jogging stroller for just one mile around the block.
The next 14 days till my birthday are going to be all about my diet which has not been all rainbows and sunshine. I've been treating myself to way more unhealthy foods like this caramel roll. This blog need to turn into not only a fitness blog but a what healthy foods I'm eating all the time. My goal is to just drop a few pounds a week.. slow and easy just like I lost 50 pounds.
