Pasta and bread

Sunday night family dinner! Fresh home made pasta, and roasted tomatoes. I do like to make pasta.
I was already making pasta for dinner why not make bread too. I forgot to take a good photo of my two loaves of Italian bread so I took this blurry photo instead of the last slice of Rosemary, Sea Salt bread. The other was just plain which I think will turn into cinnamon french bread for dinner tonight.
Found out you have to flip over pasta noodles if you try and dry them on a board instead of hanging them up to dry. They stuck to the board a little.
I really need to make home made ravioli again.. so easy to do with the right equipment!
My busy bee is over to spend the day with me. I think we will just spend the day playing. I kind of like just our time together. Makes for a nice Monday!
I'm getting a little break while Evan naps.
I could use a nap too after getting up at 5am. I took a look outside and it was really dark. I just didn't feel like running so I drove to the gym and lifted weights. By the time I was home.. It was light enough to run, just one quick time around the block. I'll have to finish up running tonight after Evan goes home.
I really need to make sure I get out to run. I have this bad habit of not working out to make up the miles in the evening. I'm make this my no excuse Monday!

That Extra Hour is not helping

So much for having an extra hour to sleep in or get more things done in a day. I didn't sleep in and here is it noon and I haven't done much with my day. No shower and I still have to do laundry, clean the house, make bread and pasta noodles.
What I did do with that extra hour from Day light Savings time.. Fall back?
We treated ourselves to some fat pills / donuts from Mojo Monkeys. They make the best donuts.. bacon, maple is by far my favorite. Steve and I split that doughnut and a cinnamon roll. I was disappointed we again did not get there in time to try a lemon Bismark!

Yoga stretch and run morning. Yes, I do know my leggings are looking a little fuzzy. That's what happens when you wash them with a new blanket and it picks up all the lint. I love these legging for running in the fall. They are extra thick and go down to my ankles. I'm not ready to retire them just yet.
Fall would not be complete with out making some butter roasted pumpkin seeds with sea salt and coarse pepper sprinkled on top. One of my favorite snacks.
I'm just happy I didn't have to do any of the pumpkin seed clean up!

My Garmin is being finicky. It won't upload my 6 miles I ran. Oh well, you'll have to take my word that I ran our neighborhood, 4x's up that killer path hill and finished it in 60 minutes. Some miles were 9 something.. and the rest around a 10 minute mile. I got to enjoy the runners high mile 4.. coming down a short hill.. the sun was in my eyes so I just closed them and ran blind down the hill fast. Felt like I was flying..

Found!

Don't you just love finding hidden money around your house? I found this $20 tucked under some wine glasses by my running watch. Not sure where it came from, but it's always nice finding money.
A chilly 27+F morning to run outside.  I still find myself getting sweaty hot and end up dressed just like this outside. I get some weird looks and people telling me I am hard core! It's really just to run comfortable..
We have way too much Halloween Candy in the house. The kids brought back more candy then we gave out! We still have a  ton of kids in the neighborhood and the door bell was ringing like crazy. I'd just sit down only to get right back up for more trick-or-treaters.

Neighborhood kids.. Logan's the scary tall kid in red.
Running the neighborhood, 6 miles and I ran into our neighbors running hill repeats. I didn't want to look like I was racing them up the hill.  I slowly increased my pace just to make them work harder to keep up. I kept running the same pace while they stopped to catch their breath...
I finished my 6 mile in under an hour. 59 minutes and an average pace of 9:51 per mile.. easy to run.. even running that steep hill 4x's!
