Positive!

We did something we probably shouldn't have! We have been really good about not going to places where there is a chance of getting Covid. Friday, we went wine tasting and to be fair, while we were around people, they were far away as we sat in in the vineyard between the grapevines!

After the vineyard and a bottle of wine, we drove to down town Hastings. Once again taking more chances , but still outdoors. We were seated at least 6ft away from others, took our masks off to eat and drink. I also put my mask on again when the waitress would come over to our table. After, this restaurant, we went roof top and sat at a brewery. Once again, at least 6 ft from others and outdoors. We try to make good choices and really have limited our going out and being around others. While it was nice to go out, feeling semi normal. I realized, I'm not sure I missed it. We spent $25 on the bottle of wine, $35 on cheese, salami, chocolate at the grocery store to bring along. Dinner consisted of fries, blue cheese and fried chicken chunks, with two drinks another $30, and a stop at the brewery another $15. Not a cheap night out! To think, we'd do this at least 8 times a month! This I do not miss! I'm 100% sure going into the winter, this was our last time out until Spring!

The colors this week have been the best ever! Our back yard view!

My poor SUV, it has 261K miles on it. I'm not sure how much longer it will last. It's been the best Highlander ever! I'm trying to get as many month out of it as I can before purchasing a new SUV. I'll be getting the same thing, only in white! I just don't want car payments, so I'm holding out for my car lasting the winter.

I was able to wear a skirt one more time this year. Felt nice to wear something other then leggings. I rarely wore anything else other then my leggings this summer.

The view from our deck, the trees all turning yellow

Checked out Spring lake park. The photo doesn't do the colors justice! It was beautiful. We never go to this park in the fall, only the winter for cross country skiing. Steve and I found a spot along this grass covered trail to sit and take in the colors.

We had a few people pass us on the trail, but not too many!

We've always wanted to stop at this cemetery. Its from the 1800's. Kind of creepy!

  1. Great pictures of the fall colors! It has been extra pretty this year. I have a car with high mileage too and am also trying to avoid a car payment, especially with the uncertainty of the pandemic.
